The A division spelling bee was held on Wednesday, January 27th, 2010.  Students in grades 6 through 8 participated.  After two practice rounds the spellers were ready to go for the gold.

The 6th grade class was proud to have Chris take 5th place, while Blake, a 7th grade student received 4th place. Cody, also a 7th grade student received the 3rd place trophy.  Tim and Annika, both in sixth grade, battled to the end to see who would take home the 1st and 2nd place trophies.  Annika spelled the word “conquer” correctly to take 1st place.  Annika, Tim, Andrea, Cody, Blake, and Christopher will represent Cunningham at the county spelling bee in the A Division.
